It is a announcement Jordan enthusiasts awaited for several years, the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam will be retroed in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cult movie released in 1996. Worn for the first time on NBA court by Michael Jordan during the 1995 playoff against the Orlando Magic, the 11 Space Jam was later made famous in the movie Space Jam before being released for the first time in December 2000, then again in 2009, initiating the practice to release a Jordan 11 iteration each year end.
With its mesh and black patent leather upper, the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam displays a royal blue Jumpman logo embroidered on the side. We find the inscriptions “Jordan / Jumpman” on the tongue and some 2000 samples used the text “Space Jam” instead.
We’ll have to wait until December 2016 to see this expected retro to drop.
