Awake NY is about to release its spring collection and this one seems to be a logical continuation of what Angelo Baque’s label usually offers.
When you have Angelo Baque’s reputation and address book, the concept of branding becomes a fatal weapon. The well-known success codes are kept, slightly reworked in a quest for essential freshness. We find the AWAKE logo with a new font while a multitude of new colours have been implemented to accompany the label’s identity lettering. A simple combo, which does not reinvent anything but is more than enough for a label of this caliber. It is worth noting that the Michelle Obama print in last year’s autumn collection has been reworked to reinforce this new line. Finally, it is the tie and dye axis that is taken up in the Awake sauce for a hoody that contrasts with the more basic visual of the rest of the collection.
This new Spring 2019 range from Awake will be available for sale directly on the label’s online shop today (03/04) at noon.
