We revealed the information exclusively last Saturday, Bape and the PSG worked on a collaboration that got officialized.
This rather surprising collaboration is in fact a logical continuation of the lifestyle strategy of the PSG brand. The club had thus begun to appear on the podiums of Fashion Week, partnering with Koche and the young label Afterhomework to ensure credibility on the market. The collaboration with Jordan Brand with a whole line of clothing was therefore not snubbed by the entire Parisian fashion sphere, which had unconsciously prepared to see the PSG brand in the street. With BAPE, the PSG brand is conquering Asia, a continent that already knows the club very well and regularly tours there with its stars. This collaboration is a good move for BAPE, that is offering itself unprecedented media coverage by going beyond the small Parisian streetwear scene.
The collection thus includes all the key pieces of the Japanese brand in the colours of the Paris Saint Germain jersey. Some pieces even carry the famous Hecher bands, introduced by the designer of the same name in 1973. However, the puffer remains the strongest piece of this collection, but also the most limited, because it’ll only be produced in 7 pieces worlwide at the price of 750€. Various hoodies, will be published in 100 copies.
