The Clot label, run by the duo Edison Chen – Kevin Poon, joins Converse for a Clot x Converse collab inspired by the North Pole and in which the Sherpa texture plays a central role.
Two models were chosen to develop the capsule. The classic Chuck Taylor 70 is here again, accompanied by the Jack Purcell branch with a low profile. The interest of this capsule, if not that the simple name Clot is enough to captivate attention, lies in the choice of textures applied to both models. The high iteration is protected by a warmly sherpa coating that adorns the entire Chuck 70. The bold detail is oriented towards the bicolour idea, with each half of the upper having a shade either off-white or very light brown. Another detail to note is a heel closure that also sets the border between the two shades. On the Purcell side, the design is more discreet, with a smooth suede that covers the entire model, while the sherpa texture is found on the inside lining, providing comfort and warmth.
Finally, an animal footprint ornate the outsole for a final touch to the theme developed by this Clot x Converse capsule, which will be available for sale on February 1 on Converse’s online shop and at some of the brand’s retailers.
