The swoosh brand seems to be inspired by London franchises, after A-COLD-WALL, a maharishi x Nike collaboration is emerging with no less than 5 sneakers and 6 clothing pieces.
For those who are not familiar with the label, maharishi takes its inspiration from the various Japanese embroideries (tiger, dragon) while remaining within this military aesthetic, technical materials and various silhouettes. The brand name comes from Hindu and means a more distant vision, the primary motivation of the brand that constantly seeks to renew itself. Teased recently on the London brand’s instagram, the collection has just been unveiled and we can see 3 silhouettes including 2 iterations in several colours.
The first is the Nike Air Max 270 Bowfin Premium, whose upper is equipped with a ripstop frame with reflective material details, while the brand’s own bonsai camo completes the military look, represented in khaki as well as in black. The second silhouette is the very recent Air Force 1 Utility which, after Carhartt, comes in a design inspired by censorship during the war in totalitarian countries, a recurring pattern in maharishi’s AW18 collection. There are many words crossed out in black, even going so far as to scratch the Swoosh. Finally, the last one is an Air Force 1 High iterated in red and blue and equipped with a wool upper. In addition of the MILTYPE pattern observable on the Utility on one side, a golden tiger Swoosh is visible on the other side of the pair, for an asymmetric look. Different designs of clothing parts conclude this capsule.
The maharishi x Nike collaboration will be available on November 30 only on a raffle basis. Go to the site now to enroll, but be careful, registrations end on the 29th.
