Teased almost two weeks ago, the big day has now arrived. Indeed Nike has just unveiled the first self-lacing sneaker dedicated to the practice of basketball: the Nike ADAPT BB is on the way.

Nike launched the hostilities on January 14 with a short video post. Indeed, by staging several WNBA players and NBA players including the French Prince Franck Ntilikina, Celtics winger Jayson Tatum or Slovenian prodigy Luka Doncic, Nike exposed the feeling of professional players with the on feet pair.

Now visible, the pair reveals itself in more detail. With its Kobe 10 look, the Nike ADAPT BB features a reinforced flyknit and black mesh upper woven with a 3M oversized swoosh. The tongue blends completely into the upper with the Electric Adaptable Reaction Lacing technology, which is composed of small plastic cables to tighten the pair.

The sole is made of a white micro-perforated midsole with several black details and two LED buttons allowing the pair to be tightened. The midsole also contains the small motor allowing the shoe to come to life. Finally, the whole thing is surrounded by an icye outsole for the best effect.

Offering a whole new experience of comfort and performance, the Nike ADAPT BB is linked to an application, in order to adjust the pair to the feet, to allow an optimization of the performance of the shoe and a customization of the color of the buttons in LED. Finally, the pair can be loaded quickly and easily by placing it on the belt supplied with it.

By putting technology at the service of performance, Nike and its ADAPT BB have simply offered a masterpiece and a high-end tool for basketball.

Already available on the US store, it will take a while to get it in France, however the pair will be available on the Nike Store for 350€.
