Studio Ghibli’s 21 films finally arrive on Netflix

The good news of the day is that Netflix has just announced the upcoming addition of Studio Ghibli’s 21 films to its platform. The festivities will begin on February 1st.

With the recent addition of “The Tomb of the Fireflies”, directed by people close to the legendary Studio, Netflix has struck hard by putting a new foot in the classics of Japanese animated films. Today, this is good news for fans of the genre, as the streaming firm has just announced that the 21 films that make up the Studio Ghibli catalogue will soon be available on the platform.

From “The Castle in the Sky” to “My Neighbor Totoro” via “Chihiro’s Journey” or “Princess Mononoke”, all will arrive in a salvo of 7 films, every first of the month. An opportunity to discover, rediscover or make known these films, true masterpieces and classics of the genre that have managed to go through the decades without a single wrinkle.
