Shawn Stüssy’s brand can enter 2020 with a smile as it celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. This is an opportunity for the brand to develop collaborations, the first will be with Comme Des Garçons.
By celebrating its 40th anniversary, the brand is anchoring itself even more in the history of streetwear culture thanks to a more than significant longevity. In the context of this anniversary, Stüssy should therefore be developing a series of collaborations, including one with Dior, but it is the one that allies it with CDG that interests us today.
It is through an iconic varsity jacket in fleece wool that we find the two collaborators. The latter has the branding of both brands on the front, accompanied by the World Tour Crew Stüssy. On the sleeves, there are chenille patches representing CDG items. Finally, on the back, there is the iconic Surf Guy from Stüssy, still in chenille, with a CDG logo.
The varsity jacket for this first collaboration of the brand’s 40th anniversary will be available from 15 January at 10 a.m. at the Stüssy Chapter Stores, CDG awnings, DSM and on the Stüssy and CDG online sites.
