Even though Supreme has this hype image that sometimes may border bad taste with this logo overload, “BLESSED” the new red box logo brand’s project gets back to its New Yorker skate shop roots.
Before having this symbol nowadays included in the pop culture, Supreme was only worn by several riders from the new-yorker scene. Years passed but the brand’s communications are in the same tone: where the skate itself takes precedence over money/hype/luxury. “BLESSED”, teased several months ago, is an 84 min skating video (a “full-length”, most prestigious format for core brands: Element, Converse, Vans, Nike SB, etc.) compiling months of images from the Supreme team. The whole project is realized by the no less prestigious and familiar with the brand William Strobeck, director of the first video Cherry released in 2014. A premiere took place in New York among many skaters and among several Parisian ones like Vincent Touzery, Gregoire Cuadrado (Bloby Greg) and Kevin Rodrigues, affirming Strobeck’s fascination for the Parisian scene. In addition to the video, a lookbook and a tee will be sold at the same time as a package. With this project, Supreme signs its second video in 24 of skateboards, proving that despite its major economic impact, the ride is the core of the brand.
“BLESSED” bundle will release Friday in all the in-store and online shops. Find below detailed pics of the package.
