Often presented as austere, the famous crocodile brand has given us an unexpected turn with this Lacoste AW19 collection.
We knew the streetwear dimension of the brand especially with its collaboration with Supreme, a true tribute to the fashion of the 90s where tracksuit and TN were in harmony, but this AW19 collection proves that Lacoste can just as easily be part of a more avant-garde and edgy design. Indeed, while playing on a rather limited palette of primary colours, beige and the iconic green, the brand manages to propose a brand new approach that fits perfectly into its DNA. Lacoste’s legendary pieces such as polo shirts and sleeveless sweaters are thus redesigned, unstructured in a harmonious play of material and pattern between patchwork, colorblock and tone on tone in large cuts. A great range from a new artistic director in the person of Louise Trotter who perfectly links René Lacoste’s aesthetics with today’s fashion.
This Lacoste AW19 collection will be available at the end of 2019.
