Stone Island is off to a new path on this last capsule in a material rarely worked by the Italian firm.
Technical materials, thermo-reactive, reflective, multi-layer, this is what we are used to from Stone Island, but for this last capsule the brand has reworked the leather. An unexpected choice, but one that reflects the firm’s expertise beyond its comfort zone. It has therefore brought together its expertise in dyeing combined with the leather of the Ecco franchise, a leather goods company renowned for its tanning method. The two collaborators have created a clothing line, but also a footwear line. The colors of the rooms are multiple while keeping a certain sobriety thanks to the faded aspect. The clothes are covered with a layer of Dyneema fabric, a lightweight and strong fibre.
Stone Island signs here an unexpected capsule, backed by the expertise of both firms, for an aesthetic that is not without being reminiscent of the craftsmanship of Guidi or Carol Christian Poell. A comparison that is even more striking in relation to the prices of the pieces: count 500 for footwear and 4000 for vests.
Below you will find detailed videos of the manufacturing process, as well as the products available now on the Italian brand’s website.
