Focused on the theme of art and entertainment this year, the European Heritage Days provide a free opportunity to discover or rediscover emblematic places all over France. This year in Paris, Louis Vuitton, Kering and Le Grand Palais will open their doors free of charge this weekend.
Paris is a city of art and culture, it is no secret to anyone. From then on, many state and other buildings will open their doors to allow any citizen to discover these places through organized visits or routes. This is therefore the case for famous and historic buildings, as well as for the great French fashion houses.
Louis Vuitton workshops
To start with the Louis Vuitton house, the latter will open the doors of its workshop and museum, which traces the history of the brand. Guided tours, free of charge, are therefore on the programme, but these are only accessible on registration. Louis Vuitton has even decided to delay its event further back in time since the museum will be open every weekend from September 21 to October 27, 2019.
Le Grand Palais
We continue with the Grand Palais of Paris, which opens its doors on September 21 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm for a free getaway within the building. The Grand Palais even offers you the opportunity to take photos of the building, its columns or its famous roof. The planned route will ensure that you do not miss a thing about this famous Parisian place.

The Kering Group
We return to the world of fashion and luxury since this time it is the Kering company that is celebrating the European Heritage Days. Indeed, the world luxury group that owns Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga or Alexander McQueen, offers you a getaway to its headquarters to admire Balenciaga pieces or other treasures from the Pinault Foundation. Since Kering’s headquarters is located in the former Laennec Hospital, the start-up Timescope will allow you to discover the place, as it was in the past through augmented reality helmets. These free visits to the Kering headquarters will be available on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2019.
Le Printemps Haussmann
Finally, we end our heritage walk with PRINTEMPS HAUSSMANN. As part of these JEP2019, PRINTEMPS will allow you to visit its building, from the basements to its famous dome and to discover all the secrets of the building and its backstage. The departures of visits will be launched every 15/20 minutes and the meeting will be held in the main entrance of the Printemps de l’Homme, at 64 boulevard Haussmann. Allow one hour for the full visit.
A little extra mention for the Chloé house which plans a presentation in homage to Karl Lagerfeld. Admission will be as Louis Vuitton, via prior registration.
