The latest addition to the Air Max range, the 720 is already turning heads, while February will see the model definitively launched on the market, it seems clear that Nike is holding its design star for 2019 and this one should largely occupy the visual of the footballwear scene this year. In China, the little dishes were put into the big leagues at a media event that will serve as an appetizer before the traditional Air Max Day. Although the Air Max 720 was at the heart of the event, other surprises awaited the guests.
Divided into 4 sections and within an architecture specially designed for the occasion, the event took on the appearance of a sneakerhead Dream House. A breathtaking Air Max 720 tunnel, an archive piece designed in an 80’s science fiction film atmosphere that provides an interesting insight into the basic inspirations of the 720’s design and the respective work of the artists involved in its creation. Among those presented were Jonathan Castro Alejos, Sonic Lam, Kwai Yuen Chan, Louiz 7 and CROSSLUCID.
A “Nike: on air” wall provided a detailed overview of the finalists in the Nike: On Air contest for guests. In short, you have understood that the current little star at Nike is none other than the Air Max 720.
