If Air Max Plus is experiencing a more successful period than ever with real celebrations, its little sister, the Air Max Plus TN3, will make its comeback in 2019.
2019 will see the return of several Nike Running icons from the late 1990s, early 2000. Indeed, the Air Max Tailwind IV is already announced for this year in its retro colours and in a collaboration with Supreme. Now, it is the Air Max Plus TN3 that is announced on the return, in a selection of several retro iterations. The third version of the Nike Air Max Plus TN, the TN3 was released in the early 2000s, revisiting the Air Max Plus TN1 and its many features specific to Sean McDowell’s initial silhouette.
While the pair retains its massive and avant-garde design, the shape of the Air Max Plus TN 3 becomes more streamlined. Now, its upper is truly split into two parts, with a front part preserving the heritage of the first version, including the traditional Air Max Plus fabric and its mythical plastic lines. The evolution is therefore based on the heel tab and the contour of the collar with a more linear and technical shoe denoting the front part.
The Air Max Plus TN3 also runs on its sole. Indeed, the pair offers a complete Air-sole unit under the heel, while keeping the smallest bubbles under the foot. The Tuned Air inscription also appears on the midsole. Finally, the pair keeps the hemispheric technology on the outsole with a different layout.
Therefore, offering an advanced version of the first version, the TN3 has a high quality hybrid work. The pair, having disappeared from the radar more than 10 years ago, is about to make its comeback to the delight of Tuned Air fans. From now on, more than knowing which colorways will go with the classic Blue / Black / Yellow.
The Air Max Plus TN 3 will be back at the end of 2019 on the Nike Store and a selection of authorized dealers.
