Maison Margiela has just unveiled a collection in collaboration with The North Face during its runway show at London Fashion Week.
As outdoor is growing in our streets, fashion houses see this as the perfect opportunity to join forces with them. The Belgian house has reworked several of The North Face’s classics into haute couture pieces to give them a whole new dimension. The famous Nupste 700s are widened and lightened in their sleeves, the Moutain Jacket jackets are opened with zips on the sides while the Denali fleeces are transformed into long jackets. The original colours of The North Face are used: the collection travels between blue, green, purple or orange. Each piece is decorated with both logos, while round bags complete the collaboration.
The release date is not revealed at the moment, but prices are expected to be based on those of Maison Margiela.
