While we know the versatility of the designer in many fields, Virgil Abloh starts in jewellery with a collection of Off White jewellery.
Although he tried this craft during the Floral Shop pop-up in Paris, the Italian brand had never released such pieces for a global release. 4 themes are thus proposed in order to correspond to a large clientele.
The first Sweetheart line refers to the jewellery that lovers exchanged before leaving for the front during the First World War.
Not surprisingly, there are also cross jewellery on most of the pieces, inspired by the Glasgow Airport logo, as well as the different variations of Off-White branding.
Finally, similar to the staple bracelet that the designer wears most of the time, the industrial universe inspired Virgil and particularly the bolt which is here iterated in several ways, left silvered, made gold and even sublimated with brightly coloured applications, making the common assembly component luxurious.
All these parts and items plus the Off White jewelry collection are to be found in many retailers including Galeries Lafayette.
