After releasing the lyric version of this hit pop, the official clip Arms Around You comes conclude the project.
Even thought XXXTentacion left us couple months ago, Lil Pump ask Jahseh’s mom to let him an extract of his son in order to complete it and make “last X as a legend”. Paper, writings and scratching codes used in the lyric video are still there and pushed to the extreme with almost biblic representations of the deceased rapper. The aesthetic is well polished but the dishormany in the lyrics (X mention a girl that he wants in his arm to protect and love her while Pump tells that he tooks drugs everyday while banging several different girls) is also visible and sometimes unhealthy. Alive rappers of the title can be seen dancing akwardly next to strong visuals of X creating a bit of disconfort seeing them turning up and getting lit right next to a deceased boy. While this music could have been a representation and an hommage to X new helpful and love spreading vision of life, Arms Around You feels like more like an umpteenth pop song with dull lyrics and a Despacito vibe. A title that relaunch the old debat on post mortem songs, furthermore with the polemic around Falling Down.
Arms Around You’s clip by Lil Pump, XXXTentacion, Maluma and Swae is watchable below or on the artist’s YouTube channel.
