Taking in the calming properties of ‘Purple Haze’, New Balance’s X-90 runner joins forces with END. once again, this time taking inspiration from the smoky mysteries of incense. The sequel to last year’s X-90 ‘Dusk’ pack, this time around END. x New Balance combine stylistic cues across the decades – from the free-loving '60s to the hedonic fog of the '90s and beyond. Predominantly heady grey across the suede and canvas uppers, the collaboration’s subtle wisps of purple and lilac are found on the custom insole, branded aglets and the tongue’s interchangeable Velcro patches. Smouldering with heritage, the responsive REVlite midsole sits underfoot for cushioned performance. Intensifying the coming together of END. and New Balance, the ‘Purple Haze’ pack is accompanied by incense sticks and a holder – giving new meaning to the phrase “holy smoke”.
